ALL campers must sign waiver form. Waiver and required forms will be added soon.


CAMP RULES

1. Campers are not allowed off campus.

2. Campers are not allowed to ride in, on, or occupy any vehicle.

3. Campers must attend ALL scheduled activities, sessions and meals.

4. Campers and adults MUST be in their room by 11:00 p.m. Lights out at 11:30 p.m.

5. Drugs, alcohol, any form of tobacco, firearms, knives, or any other kind of weapon, or fireworks are NOT allowed.

6. DO NOT BRING cell phones, iPhones, iPods, CD players, radios, televisions, video games, or any other type of electronic games or equipment, pagers, computers or any other types of valuables.

7. Campers must dress appropriately.

Services dress code:

  • Casual clothing is acceptable during activities and morning worship, and all clothing should reflect Christian modesty and discretion. No shorts (girls) and tank tops (guys) are to be worn to evening services.

All –time dress code:

  • No spaghetti strap shirt/dress, tubetops for girls. Shorts are to be at least fingertip length when arms are straight down at sides, no see-through clothing, no low cut dress necklines or deep armholes in girl’s dresses or shirts, no deep cut armholes or lowcut necklines on guy’s tank style shirts. Campers wearing clothing determined to be too short or too revealing at any time WILL be asked to change. Repeated disregard for dressing appropriately will be considered a violation of the rules.

8. Clothes must be worn over swimsuits at all times while participating in wateractivities at the lake and pool.

9. No pranks of any kind will be tolerated.

10. No one will be allowed in the lake or pool or on the high ropes except during designated times.

11. Camp facilities should be respected.

12. No Public Displays of Affection (PDA), unless married.

13. Under NO circumstances are girls to be in boys’ cabins or boys in girls’ cabins. NO EXCEPTIONS!

14. Campers must obey camp rules and regulations.

  • We are guests at Camp McDowell and must be respectful of all their facilities.

  • Be respectful of camp personnel. Campers are to respect all adult leaders and follow their instructions.

  • Any flagrant or consistent violation of rules may result in the camper being restricted from certain activities or, in

  • extreme cases, sent home at their expense.

  • Camp Open Heaven is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • Camp Open Heaven reserves the right to take and hold unapproved items (such as cell phones and

  • iPods) until the end of camp.

  • Camp Open Heaven reserves the right to use pictures and videos taken during camp for camp

  • promotion.

WHAT TO PACK

What to bring:

  • Bed linens for twin or full bed and/or sleeping bag & pillow

  • Towels, Washcloths

  • Toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush, deodorant, etc.)

  • Refillable water bottle

  • Flashlight

  • Light jacket

  • Athletic shoes

  • Sunscreen, insect repellent

  • Camera (if desired)

  • Plenty of changes of clothes (There will be no laundry facilities)**

  • Swimsuit

  • Appropriate, non-see through clothes to wear over swimsuits**

  • Towels for water activities

  • Money for snacks and souvenirs

  • Acoustic guitar, etc. will be allowed, if desired

  • Bible, notebook, pen

    Please DO NOT Bring:

  • Illegal drugs, alcohol, or tobacco of any kind

  • Knives or guns

  • Fireworks

  • Matches

  • Skateboards, roller blades, or bicycles

  • Pets

  • Clothes that are inappropriate

  • Any material inappropriate with Christian testimony

  • Radios, CD players, or ipods

  • Video games, laptops or electronic devices of any kind

  • Cell phones

CHECK-IN : Monday, July 22 3:00pm - 5:00pm (CST). Please do not arrive earlier than 3:00pm Central Standard Time and make sure the campers eat lunch before checking in as the first meal provided will be dinner on Monday evening.

CHECK-OUT : Friday, July 26 9:00am - 10:00am (CST). Please do not arrive later than 10:00am Central Standard Time to pick up the campers



Our desire is for the campers to put away all distractions during the week of camp and focus on connecting with God and with other campers; therefore they will not have access to their cell phones during the week of camp. In case of Emergency, COH staff will contact you via the Emergency phone number provided in the camper’s registration.
